Women in Leadership
Equip yourself to remain relevant and impactful as a Leader in the development and humanitarian sector
Civil Society has become a major force globally and increasingly in developing countries like Pakistan. However, the pace of change and influence of civil society depends a lot on the capacity of civil society organizations and specifically their leaders. In this context, leadership plays a crucial role in organizational development, influence and ultimately the success of civil society actors in achieving social change and social justice. Though women are well represented as employees throughout the nonprofit workforce they are less common in positions of leadership, both at grassroots level and at the larger nonprofits. There are number of factors that add to the status quo; however one factor that is repeatedly mentioned by women and came in researches is the lack of leadership training programs and coaching. Research has also shown that nonprofits with women in leadership positions are more successful in realizing their mission and reaching their goals, and their employees are more satisfied with the organization’s overall performance.
The Leadership Certificate Program has been designed to meet the unique, distinct and emerging challenges faced by the women leaders (aspiring to be) nonprofit leaders. Designed as more of an
