The aim of the Gender and Diversity Organizational Assessment is to support organizations to fulfil commitments to gender and diversity by identifying gaps in different areas like:
1. Policies and Procedures (e.g. HR, administration, gender etc.)
2. Organizational Culture
3. Leadership commitment
4. Resources and Capacities
Assessing performance in each of these areas highlights those areas in which the organization is performing well and those in which it needs to improve.
The tools to assess the gaps/performance in the above-mentioned areas include but are not limited to organization wide surveys, KII and FGDs.
Recognizing that each organization and its context is different, our consultants at BTIL provides guidance on adapting the areas/tools to suit the context; who to involve; how to assess performance; and how to prepare the plan of action.
Our consultants at BTIL provide set of recommendations against each area of assessment including recommendations on how to cover gaps and build on strengths. Our recommendations are based on data/research studies conducted by experts in comparable contexts and on best practices. We understand that there is no one-fit formula for all but we believe in drawing lessons and rethinking.
Depending on the need of the organization we can provide support in the action planning phase and be the accountability partner during designed interventions/implementation.
